TOW proudly announces the launch of HIMALAYAN MONARCH HERITAGE EXPRESS TRAIN;   the train will be first of its kind on narrow gauge section of Kalka-Shimla having 05 star services by Radisson Zirakpur for pre-board & Radisson Jass Shimla for onboard arrangements. This train to Shimla will be given halt at Barog station to have a glimpse over cultural value of Himachal Pradesh. The tour will be of around 5 to 6 hours having complete engagement for all onboard guests.

Package Itinerary

Tour Programme: Chandigarh - Kalka - Shimla



Day 1

(0930 hrs):- Guests will report at Radisson Zirakpur. A pre departure welcome session for all guest depicting the places of visit at Shimla & around, also the historic importance of Kalka Shimla Rail Section will be covered.

(1100 hrs): Departure from Chandigarh to Kalka Railway Station. Upon arrival at Kalka Red carpet welcome, service of welcome drinks to the guests, Aarti-Tikka-Garlanding.

(1230 hrs): Welcome onboard the Himalyan Monarch Heritage Express Train by onboard staff. Departure from Kalka to Barog.

(1430 hrs): Arrive Barog and then onboard lunch to be served to the guests afterwards a small cultural show at Barog Railway Station.

(1530 hrs): Departure from Barog to Shimla.

(1830 hrs): Arrive Shimla and program ends with memories.

  1. Any Still / Video Camera fees, entrance fees for monuments and any activities suggested in the itinerary are chargeable direct.
  2. Any portage at hotels, tips, telephone charges, laundry and all items of personal nature.
  3. Any additional meals / en route meals, sightseeing and activities other than those mentioned in the itinerary.

  • Please reach the assembling venue in hotel 01 hour before the departure of the tour. TOW will not be responsible for missing of transfer shuttle from Chandigarh hotel to Kalka station by the guest. Guest has to make their own arrangements for the same.
  • Kindly reconfirm the venue in hotel from the package coordinator before reaching pre-departure hotel.
  • Transfers and Sightseeing tours are on SIC (seat in coach) / shared basis by suitable vehicle.
  • It is mandatory to carry the age proof for all passengers including infants along with other travel documents. Child above 05 years shall be considered for an adult cost.
  • In train no seat is provided to child below 5 years.
  • Hotel has the right to claim the damages incurred by any of the guest.
  • The guests are requested to take care of their personal belongings carefully and avoid leaving them unattended.
  • For any change in Flight Timings/diversions, Flight cancellation from the airline TOW will not be responsible and if it further affects the Sightseeing/Itinerary client need to accommodate accordingly.
  • Cost of additional services availed by the guest which are not part of our package inclusions are to be settled directly at the hotel.
  • TOW request you that before finalizing the tour with us kindly go through the package details on website and check offered hotel and read the reviews.
  • Package cost is calculated on avaialble rail Fare/transportation component. Any increase in rail fare or any other taxes, same has to be borne by the client.
  • Any Itinerary posted on the website is only a proposed holiday outline.
  • In case there is any change in price the same will be communicated to yourself and only after your confirmation, we will proceed further.
  • There will be no refund for un-utilized services.

Terms and Conditions:

  • In case of partial cancellation please note that occupancy conversion charges will be applicable.
  • TOW is not liable for missing of one or more services as per the itinerary due to late running of trains.
  • Tourists should strictly adhere to the timings failing which TOW will not be liable for missing of any service including darshan and return train. If the tourists miss the bus arranged by TOW at any place, they should reach the next place of the itinerary on their own.
  • Tourists should take care of their personal belongings and luggage. TOW is not liable for losses or thefts. 
  • In case of cancellation of Darshan in situations beyond the control of TOW including peak rush during festivals refund will be made only for the services missed. No refund will be made in case of skipping of any service including darshan voluntarily by the tourist.
  • No refund will be made in case of missing of any service including darshan due to the negligence of tourists.
